Biomechanical problems i.e. frequent lower limb injuries and back pain can be the result of poor lower limb alignment, poor walking/running and structural changes of the lower limbs. To prevent these pains early assessment and intervention is necessary.
Biomechanical assessment looks at lower limb length and alignment, spinal alignment, muscle flexibility and strength, both statically and dynamically as well a localized foot assessment.
What are orthotics? These are specially made foot insoles, designed for your own specific needs to remove your back, lower limb and foot related aches and pains. They can be given as from Prescription orthotics (medical insoles that are custom built to correct your specific foot imbalance) or Sport Orthotics that gives you full support and higher shock absorbency. Sporthotics are mainly made for sport. They specifically benefit the relieving of foot related injuries, low back pain and also prevent over use injuries such as shin splints, Achilles tendonitis etc. They correct lower limb alignment, spinal alignment, mobility and stability.
